Knits Knitted fabrics are much more elastic than wovens and are primarily used for T-shirts and other clothing that require flexibility. Apparel made from knitted fabrics can be more form-fltting than its counterparts made from woven fabric. Knitted fabrics are generally warmer and more comfortable, feeling cozy as they are worn close to the body. The absorbability of hemp makes this fabric excellent for reusable diapers.

Stretch By adding a touch of Iycra to natural fibers, you enhance their quality and performance, giving you the most elastic, environmental friendly fabric available. Designers are now free to create clothing which delivers greater performance, body shaping, and superior levels of comfort, while remaining eco-conscious. Stretch textiles are great for swim-wear, underwear, jeans, casual wear, tops, socks and hosiery. The absorbent properties of hemp and organic cotton draw in perspiration, keeping you feeling fresh.

Linens Hemp linens are made from 100% hemp and are constructed in a plain, straight weave. Highly absorbent and a good conductor of heat, hemp linens feel cool to the touch. They are smooth, making the finished fabric lint free, and it gets softer the more it is washed. Hemp linen is the strongest of the vegetable fiber linens with 2- to 3 times the strength of cotton. It is a very durable, strong fabric and one of the few that are stronger wet than dry. It does not stretch and is resistant to damage from abrasion. Hemp linens uses range from bed and bath fabrics (table cloths, dish towels, bed sheets, etc.), home and commercial furnishing items (wallpaper/wall coverings, upholstery, window treatments, etc.) and apparel items (suits, dresses, skirts, shirts, etc.) to industrial products (luggage, canvases, sewing thread, etc.).

Canvas Canvas is an extremely heavy-duty, plain-woven fabric used for making sails, tents, marquees, backpacks, and other items which require sturdiness. It popularly used as a painting surface, typically stretched, and for fashion handbags and shoes. The word "Canvas" is actually derived from the word "cannabis." This exceptionally strong weave is perfect for shoes, bags, hats, wallets and home furnishings. Hemp canvas is extremely durable due to the natural strength fiber and its natural resistance to mold and ultraviolet light.

Home Furnishings Home furnishings are the fastest growing market for hemp textiles. Hemp fiber is the strongest of all natural fibers without any stretch. This makes it perfect for upholstery fabrics where it must be pulled taut, yet not break or stretch out. Slip covers, shower curtains, lamp shades, and duvet covers are also great items to make with these textiles. Hemp is a natural for the home.

Muslins Muslin is most typically a closely-woven unbleached or white cloth. It is often used to make dresses or curtains but may also be used to complement foam for upholstery. Muslin breathes well, and is a good material choice for clothing designed for hot, dry climates. Hemp/Organic cotton muslin fabrics incorporate all the great qualities of hemp along with the natural properties of cotton. They are suitable for a myriad of uses from apparel to home furnishings to industrial fabrics.
