Our hemp is cultivated in several countries around the world including China, Romania, and Canada. It is grown all naturally without the use of harmful pesticides or fertilizers, The cotton used in our hernp cotton blends is grown in Turkey and is certified organic, After the fabric is made, it is lightly bleached with hydrogen peroxide to clean the surface and lighten the color. We use only low impact dyes when coloring our fabrics.
The factories who produce our textiles and apparel are privately owned and do not use any child labor, forced labor, or have unfair working conditions. All trade is free and fair.

Production Orders/Pre-Orders
Production orders (Greater than 500 Yards or 1200 shirts per style) are shipped directly from our factories. Payment is due at the time the order ships. We can ship by sea to any port in the world free of cost. Prices are CIF for any port. Deliver time is 6-12 weeks. Airfreight is extra. Customers receiving shipments are responsible for their own brokerage fees, duty fees, and inland transportation.
SHIPPING & FREIGHT COSTS
Small Orders (less than 500 Yards or 1200 shirts) We ship from our warehouse in Los Angeles using Fed Ex. Customers have the option to have their orders shipped Ground Service (1-5 days), or Express shipments of 3 Day, 2 Day, or Overnight.
For customers who live in Alaska or Hawaii we ship using U.S. Priority Mail, and we will adjust invoice to lower the freight cost at the time of processing.
for customers living outside the United States, we ship using the U.S. Postal Service, The two options available for shipping are Express International ( (5 days) and Priority Mail International (6-10 days).
Large Orders (Greater than 500 Ibs.) Larger orders which ship from our Los Angeles warehouse will ship standard trucking companies.
PAYMENT
We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, paypal, and wire Payment is due at time of shipment, not time of order, so credit card not charged until the day the order is shipped. We do not offer credit terms.
RETURN POLICY
We guarantee all our products and services. If for any reason you do not like your product when you receive it, you can return it for a full refund. Hempzel Pretzel Company has evolved from a company that originally started making & marketing tye-dye hemp fabrics in the early 90’s as No Problem, Inc.
Being in the heart of pretzel country and having crushed hemp seed meal available, the previous owner Ralph Amato & friend Donald Riese started experimenting with using the nutritious hemp seed meal in a traditional Pennsylvania pretzel mix. Thus started the original hemp pretzel. The goal was to market to the growing hemp store market.
With the breakthrough of removing the outer shell of the hemp seed and using the "meat" of the seed, a much smoother and better tasting crunchy pretzel evolved. In March of 1999 a bag of Sesame Hempzels was submitted to Food Distribution Magazine for the annual taste test. Out of 30 pretzel submissions, Sesame Hempzels was awarded 2nd place for the best tasting pretzel category in a blind taste test.
With slow growth and the final purchase of the company by Shawn House in July 2000 the company started under a new vision to mainstream hemp products into the consumer market. The new Hempzel Pretzels were placed into local grocery & health food stores. The development of the soft Gourmet Pretzel was started in early 2000. The change in ownership and vision promises a fresh start for the new line of soft pretzels into every household that hasn’t experienced the "nutty" taste that nutritious hemp seed adds to traditional pretzels. Along with the new soft pretzels, the bag design for the traditional Hempzel has been changed and enlarged to a 12 oz. size, so there are more to share with family & friends.

Why Hemp? Hemp is one of the most environmentally friendly fibres in the world requiring no pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers and very little water to grow. Hemp exhibits up to eight times the strength of cotton and fabrics made from hemp are more insulating, absorbent and more durable. It is also hypo-allergenic and non-irritating to the skin.
Why Soy? Soy fibre is made from the hulls of organic soybeans used to make tofu and other soy products. It is a natural by-product of normal food production and is a renewable resource. Soy can be grown organically and is naturally biodegradable. Soy has been dubbed 'vegetable cashmere' due to its luxurious, soft hand. It is also extremely durable and easy to care for.
Why Bamboo? Bamboo is processed with little or no environmental damage and its long fibres are extremely strong and have a luxurious feel. It has a natural ability to breathe and wick away moisture due to its porous nature and it is also naturally anti-bacterial and resistant to mold. The process of making bamboo is ecologically friendly.
Why Organic Cotton? Cotton is one of the most popular fabrics in the world but it has traditionally been grown with many pesticides and chemicals. Shortages

Splaff Flopps started in a garage with a tire, a bike tube, and a shoe knife. The vision was to make a comfortable, long lasting, fairly priced sandal from all recycled materials. Today Splaff Flopps are hand-crafted in California with the same integrity. They are made with recycled race car tires and bicycle Inner tubes, regupol (a cushioning material made from used tires which have been chipped and pressed into mats), and hemp. Splaff Flopps, are produced in a 100% waste free, earth friendly process in which all left over materials are either re-used or recycled.
Our commitment to the environment and the consumer is genuine. No short-cuts have been taken. Before a single pair is sold, each Splaff Flopp style is tested and re-tested and tested again by some of the world's, most religious sandal wearers until their satisfaction is unanimous. All first orders must be pre-paid or shipped C.O.D. We accept checks, wire transfer, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard. American Express) All international orders must be pre-paid. Terms may be available upon credit approval. Past due accounts will be assessed penalties as noted on order form.
Claim and Returns
All claims of defective or damaged goods and incorrect shipments must be made within 10 days of the receipt of goods. All returns/refusals must be pre-authorized and returned within 10 days of authorization. A 25% restocking fee will be applied to all unauthorized returns. Returned merchandise can be exchanged (pending stock availability) or applied as credit on future orders. No cash refunds.
